Job DescriptionThe Department of Biostatistics invites applicants to join our expanding team of talented faculty and staff. We welcome applications for a full‑time 12‑month tenure‑track faculty member at the Assistant, Associate or full Professor rank. The Department is situated jointly within the College of Public Health and Health Professions (PHHP) and the College of Medicine (COM), in the Clinical and Translational Research Building, facilitating multidisciplinary research.
Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in biostatistics, including AI, big data analysis, cancer, genetics, infectious disease modeling, medical image processing, metabolomics, survival analysis, causal inference, survey methods, high‑dimensional inference, longitudinal data analysis, and clinical trials.
- Teach courses in the MS and PhD in Biostatistics programs and support a concentration in Biostatistics within the Masters of Public Health program.
- Advise and mentor undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.
- Collaborate with NIH‑funded partners such as the Clinical and Translational Science Institute, Children’s Oncology Group, Center for Statistics and Quantitative Infectious Diseases, and other research centers.
- Doctoral degree in biostatistics or a related quantitative discipline.
- Senior‑level applicants with a strong record of academic accomplishments, scholarly recognition, external research funding, and evidence of leadership appropriate for the rank of Professor or Associate Professor.
- Early‑career applicants at the Assistant Professor level who demonstrate strong potential to develop a record of research and scholarly achievement.
