Job Description

Want to work in an environment where you can continue to grow and learn each day while providing excellent patient care? Do you enjoy teaching and providing mentorship to students? The University of Florida is looking for two emergency veterinarians to join our team of 19 faculty members in ECC (9 emergency veterinarians, 13 criticalists). We offer exceptional clinical service encompassing intensive care, emergency services and hemodialysis/nephrology at our VECCS Level 1 and AAHA certified referral center in Gainesville, Florida as well as our state‑of‑the‑art emergency practice the Small Animal Hospital at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida.

If you have considered academia before but never made the jump, call us – we love what we do and would be excited to share our experiences with you. A successful applicant would be heavily involved in primary emergency patient care, as well as instruction and supervision of veterinary students. Responsibilities will vary based on experience.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Required Qualifications

Qualified applicants must hold a DVM degree or equivalent.

Preferred

Previous emergency experience or completion of a small animal rotating internship are preferred, but are not required.
