North Central Texas College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach learning frameworks throughout the academic year. This is an adjunct position for face-to-face/hybrid teaching only. Candidates must be able to teach in a college classroom on campus during the day and/or evenings. No online positions will be available. This position carries with it the obligation to uphold the Mission of North Central Texas College in carrying out the duties of the position.

• Planning and teaching undergraduate courses in learning frameworks.
• Treating students and colleagues with respect.
• Active involvement in issues of institutional effectiveness, including student learning outcomes, program-level outcomes, and marketable skill achievement.
• Focusing teaching and outreach efforts on student success.
• Maintaining accurate and complete course records as required by North Central Texas College.
• Participating in planning, implementing, and evaluating assigned courses.
• Working effectively within a group or independently, student-oriented, and able to meet deadlines. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution.

Required

Education:

Candidate must have a Master of Education (M.Ed) or Master’s degree in Psychology or counseling or related field.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Above average computer skills.
• Exhibition of respect and professionalism in a spirit of collegiality.
• Microsoft Office proficient.
• Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture experiences.
• Ability to teach students using a variety of teaching methods.
• Knowledge of online delivery methods.

• Prior teaching experience required.

Experience teaching or working with college students is preferred. Experience with computer LMS systems is preferred.

Pay rate – $680/load unit (or credit hour).
