Job Description

Creates pathways for experiential learning collaborations and standards within curricular and co-curricular experiences. Develops and maintains relationships and resources with employers, community members, alumni, and industry partners who provide experiential learning and post‑graduation opportunities for students. Engages with employers, community, and industry contacts to increase experiential learning opportunities for UF students. Conducts consultations and meetings with new and existing employers and community members to discover experiential learning opportunities and advance campus engagement.

Reviews employers’ activities to maintain UF’s experiential learning policies and best practices.

Works collaboratively with the Experiential Learning team to develop marketing materials, experiential learning campaigns, and educational resources for all stakeholders semesterly—including campus‑wide initiatives such as Comprehensive Learner Record, University Recognized Experiences, and experiential learning reporting processes. Aids the center in managing the implementation of infusing experiential learning best practices into the university community. Supports the team in maintaining and supporting experiential learning technology.

Creates guides, web resources, and print materials to promote experiential learning best practices for all stakeholders. Provides regular reports and analysis on relationships, initiatives, and programs to center leadership.

Serves as a career coach to students to advance their career and professional development. Customizes career and professional development programs, immersive experiences (e.g., Shadowing program), niche career fairs, workshops, and resources to connect students to experiential learning opportunities. Facilitates critical reflection at all stages of their involvement and supports their career readiness and strategic success outcomes based on their career interests.

Works within the career center’s student engagement plan to increase student engagement and other student success outcomes. Provides individual and group educational professional development sessions and appointments.

Provides consultations to faculty and staff to integrate career development into their curricula and advising efforts in relation to experiential learning efforts. Supports faculty in their teaching of competency‑based education. Partners with faculty and staff in specific units to promote experiential learning offerings. Exchanges information related to student engagement, career development, industry trends, and academic learning to support career and professional development.

Tracks, reports, and shares outcomes related to experiential learning, career engagement, and industry relations service utilization to tell UF’s experiential learning story. Maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of employment trends, higher education, and appropriate career development expertise. Supports preparing assessments, data tracking, and analysis relative to experiential learning, planning, and engagement activities—including managing university‑wide experiential learning reporting structure and policy.

Expected Salary

$54,000.00

Required Qualifications

Education:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.

Training:
Certified Career Services Practitioner (CCSP) to be obtained within the first year of employment.

Preferred

Education & Training:
Master’s degree in marketing, social sciences, student personnel, or human resources (HR).

Experience
  • Two (2) years of experience (minimum) in stakeholder engagement, marketing, sales, career development, career coaching, or HR
Knowledge

Knowledge of industry relations, employment trends, student development, career services, marketing, and outreach strategies.

Skills
