The Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at the University of Florida (UF) College of Medicine invites applications for a tenure/tenure‑track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Genetics. The department is expanding as part of a 5‑year strategic plan. We seek outstanding investigators in any area of genetics, including gene expression and regulation, functional genomics, systems biology, developmental genetics, immunogenetics, molecular mechanisms of disease, evolutionary genetics, and related fields that complement ongoing research in mammalian, Drosophila, viral, bacterial, and cancer genetics.
The position offers substantial start‑up packages and a collaborative environment across multiple UF schools and research centers.
Annual salary range: $150,000 – $230,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Required QualificationsPhD, MD, or MD/PhD in the biomedical sciences or a related field of study.
