Part-Time Adjunct Faculty Positions-College of Nursing
For the BSN program, clinical faculty must hold an active license as an RN in the state of Florida, have at least two years of clinical experience, and hold a MSN or doctoral degree in nursing.
For the DNP program, clinical faculty must hold an active ARNP license in the state of Florida, have at least two years of clinical experience at the graduate level, and hold the academic credentials to teach the content area (e.g., DNP in specialty area or a clinical MSN (ARNP) with a DNP, PhD, or EdD). Must have substantive experience in course focus.
ResponsibilitiesPart-time Adjunct Positions
- Teach pre-licensure BSN students in the clinical and/or learning laboratory setting (BSN: clinical, lab/sim, didactic in person, and didactic online for RN-BSN)
- Teach in the DNP program for experienced nurse practitioners
- BSN Program: adjunct clinical faculty with expertise in inpatient high-acuity nursing care, simulation (low- and high-fidelity), teaching clinical skills in laboratory settings, and educating future nurses
- Teach in-person didactic courses in the BSN program and online didactic courses in the RN-BSN program
- DNP Program: adjunct clinical ARNP faculty with a doctoral degree to teach didactic and/or clinical courses for graduate students in DNP tracks
- Work part-time, tailored to your personal scheduling needs
- Commit to a semester-at-a-time
- Receive an adjunct OPS faculty appointment with the University of Florida and professional development opportunities
- Supervising care provided by students during clinical rotations
- Supervising and teaching nursing skills and conducting simulations
- Debriefing students after clinical rotations
- Evaluating students experiential performance and written work
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Preferred QualificationsExperience and specialized skills in the following areas:
- Adult health (including acute and chronic conditions)
- Pediatrics
- Maternal-newborn health
- Mental health nursing
- Simulation and skills laboratory
