Visiting Assistant Professor
University of Florida Levin College of Law seeks to hire a visiting assistant professor in tax as part of the College's pursuit of excellence in legal education and scholarship. The University of Florida, located in Gainesville, FL, currently has the #2 tax law program in the nation and is the flagship university of the third largest state.
Applicants are expected to hold JD, LLM, or SJD degrees, or to be a Ph.D. recipient or candidate in a related field. Successful candidates will have strong scholarly potential, commitment to excellence in teaching, and enthusiasm for creating a welcoming environment for all students.
Responsibilities- Spend one to two years in residence at the Levin College of Law.
- Teach one class per semester in the JD or LLM tax curriculum.
- Participate in the law school's scholarly community and engage with mentorship.
- Prepare for a future career in legal academia.
- Minimum: JD, SJD, or LLM.
- Preferred:
Experienced scholarship or teaching, strong research agenda.
Commensurate with experience.
