Position
Chair of Environmental and Global Health and Tenure/Tenure‑Track Professor or Associate Professor at the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions.
Responsibilities- Promote department‑wide excellence in education, scholarship, research, and service.
- Recruit, develop, and retain outstanding faculty and staff.
- Deploy resources and facilitate a positive culture.
- Provide strategic oversight and collaborative leadership across core departmental functions—academic programs, research support, and administrative operations.
- Ensure accreditation and funding continuity, foster innovation and growth.
- Work with college leadership to identify and implement strategic initiatives and partnerships.
- Required:
Doctoral degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of specialization from an accredited institution. - Preferred:
Distinguished record of scholarly achievement, extramural funding, teaching, mentoring, and leadership consistent with the rank of associate professor or professor. - Ideal:
Current or emerging leader in a discipline aligned with the department’s focus; track record of building synergistic teams; relevant administrative or management experience; strong commitment to fostering collaborations within and outside the institution; demonstrated excellence in research and training.
Salary is negotiable, commensurate with education and experience.
