Job DescriptionAdmissions Officer II – lead student recruitment and outreach in assigned territories. Manages a specific region, building relationships with students, families, and school counselors, representing UF at high schools, state colleges, and college fairs. Evaluates applications through holistic review and analyzes data to inform territory strategies. Requires extensive travel (8-12 weeks annually).
Key Responsibilities- Independently manage recruitment efforts in assigned territories.
- Represent UF at high schools, state colleges, and college fairs to promote multiple admission pathways (UF residential, UF Online, Innovation Academy, PaCE).
- Plan and execute virtual and in-person information sessions, yield events, and other engagement activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, families, alumni, and school counselors to provide guidance and support throughout the admissions process.
- Travel extensively (8-12 weeks annually) during fall, spring, and summer cycles; operate a state vehicle and maintain a valid passport for international travel.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and virtual platforms, providing accurate and timely information about UF's admissions policies and processes.
- Deliver presentations to campus visitors at the UF Welcome Center and offer general college admissions counseling.
- Review freshman and transfer applications through holistic evaluation of academic records, test scores, essays, and resumes.
- Analyze data to identify key markets and recruitment opportunities within assigned territory.
- Track and report recruitment activities and outcomes to inform leadership and support enrollment goals.
- Collaborate with the Associate and Assistant Directors on territory management strategies and special projects.
- Participate in training and professional development to maintain a high level of competence.
- Serve on committees or lead projects that advance the mission of the Office of Admissions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support enrollment initiatives.
- Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Valid Passport, or ability to obtain, required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage with and speak in front of large audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated abilities in leadership, problem solving, and attention to detail.
