Literacy Content Development Specialist

The University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning is hiring a Literacy Content Development Specialist. This role involves developing accessible literacy content and teacher resources to support the New Worlds Reading Initiative, designing learning experiences, and collaborating with educators to ensure culturally responsive materials. The position requires content creation, review, and logistical support to enhance educational outcomes in early literacy.

• Develop literacy content and teacher resources, including reading guides and video scripts for the New Worlds Reading Initiative.
• Design and deliver face-to-face and synchronous learning experiences for teachers.
• Consult disaggregated data to create culturally and linguistically appropriate materials.
• Author evidence-based content and ensure alignment with developmentally appropriate learning activities.
• Manage book curation and support marketing and communication efforts related to the initiative.
• Maintain communication and collaboration with the New Worlds Professional Learning team and other stakeholders.
• Required qualifications include a Master's degree with two years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with four years' experience.
• Preferred qualifications include Reading Endorsement and experience in early childhood or K-12 literacy teaching or instructional design.
• Salary range: $66,000 to $73,000 per year.
• The position is time-limited and soft-funded, based at the University of Florida's Gainesville campus.
