The Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at the University of Florida (UF) College of Medicine invites applications for a tenure/tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Genetics. The department is expanding as part of a 5-year strategic plan and seeks outstanding investigators in any area of genetics, including gene expression, functional genomics, developmental genetics, immunogenetics, disease mechanisms, evolutionary genetics, and related fields.
Responsibilities• Conduct independent, innovative research in genetics.
• Publish and present research findings in peer‑reviewed journals and conferences.
• Develop and apply advanced methodologies in genomics, molecular biology, and computational biology.
• Mentor students and postdoctoral researchers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across UF colleges and institutes.
Required: PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in biomedical sciences or a related field.
Preferred: Cutting‑edge research in the genetics of human disease, including microsatellite repeat genetics.

Expected SalaryAnnual salary range: $110,000 – $130,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
