Job DescriptionThe Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering welcomes applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure track lecturer position. The anticipated start date is ideally Fall 2026, no later than Spring 2027.
Responsibilities- Develop and teach mechanical and/or aerospace engineering capstone design and realization courses, including industry engagement.
- Lead or co‑lead laboratory‑intensive courses as part of the MAE curriculum.
- Participate in department, university, and professional service activities.
- Conduct educational research related to experiential engineering education.
- Support a collaborative, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate closely with other faculty in curriculum and facility development.
- Minimum of an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong commitment to teaching and experiential learning.
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
- Prior industrial experience.
- Prior instructional experience in related fields.
- Hands‑on experience in an educational setting.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
