Job Description

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville invites applications for an adult licensed psychologist. This full‑time faculty position is at the non‑tenure accruing level of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor or full professor. The role includes outpatient provision of evidence‑based assessment and treatment of adults (e.g., cognitive behavior therapy, family therapy, trauma‑informed, interpersonal therapy, etc.) and/or psychological testing.

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide a clinical therapy caseload with a focus on diverse adult community populations
  • Deliver evidence‑based psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and groups
  • Supervise and mentor master's‑level therapists, LMHCs, social work interns, and other trainees
  • Engage in grant writing, teaching, and the development of a psychology post‑doctoral fellowship program
  • Contribute to residency and fellowship education and research initiatives within the department
Required Qualifications
  • PhD in Psychology or related field
  • Licensed or license‑eligible psychologist in Florida
  • Experience in outpatient assessment, evidence‑based psychotherapy, and psychological testing
  • Commitment to serving diverse adult populations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board‑certified or board‑eligible (BE/BC)
  • Experience teaching and supervising trainees in a psychiatric setting
  • Experience in grant writing and research
