The Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at the University of Florida invites applications for a tenure‑track position at the ranks of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Virology. The department continues a major expansion of the faculty as part of a 5‑year strategic plan. We are seeking two outstanding, creative investigators in any area of virology.

Research will focus on virus families, including arboviruses, tumor viruses, polymicrobial interactions, and neurovirology. We especially welcome candidates who will build a research program that complements these strengths.

Responsibilities include developing or having a vibrant, externally funded research program, participating in graduate‑level teaching, and recruiting and mentoring outstanding trainees.

Positions offer research space, a collaborative environment, and substantial start‑up packages. Annual salary range is $110,000 - $230,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications:

Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. in the biomedical sciences or a related field.
