The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering (HWCOE) at the University of Florida is soliciting applications for Visiting Assistant Instructional Professor positions. These will be full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track, time-limited faculty positions at the rank of Visiting Lecturer (working title Visiting Assistant Instructional Professor). These positions will begin Fall 2026.

Assigned areas will include but are not limited to:

• Engineering Education
• Chemical Engineering
• Biomedical Engineering
• Materials Science & Engineering
• Engineering Leadership
• Engineering Innovation

Responsibilities include:

• Serve as instructors of record for key undergraduate engineering courses with critical needs across the curriculum.
• Participate in the Department of Engineering Education’s training program for new PhD graduates and prospective faculty, including courses in engineering education, pedagogy, and available UF instructional training programs.
• Engage in mentoring undergraduate students in engineering and closely related fields.
• Attend and present at the UF CTE Interface Conference, sharing education‑supported impact on instructed courses.

• Ph.D.

• Ph.D. in Engineering, a closely related field, or one of the assigned areas.
• Technical expertise in one or more of the assigned areas listed above.
• Demonstrated interest and experience working with and mentoring undergraduate students in engineering.
