Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Under the direction of the Innovation Station Regional Director, you will design and deliver programs that foster collaboration between the UF Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering and the Sarasota region. The focus is on workforce development, engagement with industry, academia, and the community, and the creation of a technology and engineering talent pipeline.

• Work with the Innovation Station Industry Programs Coordinator to develop and deliver programs that connect UF offerings with regional needs.
• Partner with regional private, public, and academic stakeholders to establish training opportunities and outreach initiatives.
• Support regional entrepreneurs, companies, and executives in accessing UF’s engineering resources, including prototyping facilities and faculty expertise.
• Represent the University of Florida Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering in engagements with government agencies, businesses, investors, citizen groups, and academic administrators.
• Track activities, compile reports, and present regular updates to stakeholders.
• Liaise with program supporters and assist in planning and presenting goals, objectives, and metrics for future activities.

Other duties as assigned may be required.

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, academic administration, or a related field.
• Two or more years of experience in engineering fields, including computer science and information technology, or academic administration.
• Experience working with small to large companies, entrepreneurs, investors, community support organizations, and academic institutions.
• Experience with special groups such as minorities and women is an asset.
