Job DescriptionInstitute of Food and Agricultural Sciences is creating an environment that affirms community across all dimensions. This is a 12‑month, full‑time, non‑tenure‑accruing position that will be 100% teaching, available in the Food and Resource Economics Department. Duties will include teaching undergraduate courses (on‑campus and online) in agricultural economics and agribusiness. Faculty will seek contract and grant funding actively to support their program. A successful candidate with a Ph.D. would be eligible to use the ‘Instructional Assistant Professor’ working title.
The successful candidate will engage in scholarly activities related to instruction, including teaching undergraduate courses, advising and mentoring undergraduate students, participating in curriculum revision and enhancement, seeking funding, supervising undergraduate research, publishing teaching‑related scholarship, producing learning tools, and engaging in professional development. Faculty are encouraged to support and participate in the CALS Honors Program.
Expected SalaryCommensurate with Education and Experience
Required Qualifications- A master’s degree (foreign equivalent acceptable) in agricultural economics or a closely related discipline is required.
- Demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication and interpersonal relationships.
- Support for the mission of the Land‑Grant system.
- Commitment to UF core values.
- A doctoral degree (foreign equivalent acceptable) in agricultural economics or a closely related discipline is strongly preferred, but not required for the Lecturer title.
- Previous teaching experience in person and online.
- Experience in procurement of extramural funding.
- Ability to teach courses in agricultural economics and one or more of the following focus areas: agribusiness management, agribusiness financial planning, and machine learning for economists.

Employment ConditionsThis position is available August 16 2026, and will be filled as soon thereafter as an acceptable applicant is available. Compensation is commensurate with the education, experience, and qualifications of the selected applicant.
