Lead Installer – Solar Energy & Storage

PPM Solar is seeking a Lead Installer to join our installation team, enhancing solar installation processes and driving customer satisfaction. The role requires strong technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and leadership skills to guide projects, uphold safety standards, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

PPM is a solar energy company headquartered in Gainesville, FL, serving commercial and industrial sectors. As a licensed solar and electrical contractor, we operate in FL and NC and are expanding to SC and GA. Our core values of integrity and a positive mental attitude inform our culture and hiring.

• Layout and assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware
• Connect solar mounting structure to the roof
• Assist in electrical wiring of all energy products
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to pull materials for each installation
• Complete job closeout documentation and reporting
• Attend mandatory training and safety meetings
• Provide an exceptional customer experience throughout the process

• Proven track record of integrity
• Solar installer experience preferred
• 1 year of roof work, general construction (3+ years preferred), and ability to use measuring tools accurately
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work on residential and commercial roofs
• Basic toolkit with drills, impact, and bits – specialty tools provided
• Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solution-oriented mindset with proactive problem‑solving
• Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and adapt to evolving business needs

Compensation ranges from $33–$37 per hour, based on experience. The position is full‑time (40 hours per week) and onsite in Gainesville. Pay will be reassessed after the first 90 days. Employees become eligible for benefits after the 90‑day introductory period.
