Baker Water is growing and seeking a Project Engineer to join our Treatment team. This role is integral to the construction and commissioning of wastewater treatment plants, water reclamation facilities, and water treatment systems
, with a strong emphasis on self-perform construction.

About the Role

As a Project Engineer, you’ll support the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale treatment and industrial projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and distribute contract documents, addenda, field orders, RFIs, and RFPs.
• Review and track shop drawings and submittals for specification compliance.
• Support project quality control efforts, including deviation reports, pre-pour inspections, and testing requirements.
• Coordinate RFIs among owners, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Assist in preparing proposals and owner change order requests, including pricing of self-perform work.
• Maintain "As-Built" drawings and prepare project close-out documentation.
• Collect and organize O&M manuals, guarantees, and warranties.
• Help maximize efficiency and quality through effective use of self-perform work.

What You Bring

• 1–3 years of experience in water/wastewater construction or related heavy civil work.
• BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Working knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, and safety protocols.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Bluebeam preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
