At Jacobs, we challenge today's problems by solving critical energy solutions. This role encourages engagement with clients to assess energy needs, develop concept-level plans, and execute complete solutions from exploration to repowering.

Your primary responsibilities include providing feasibility studies, developing construction documents and offering construction oversight for energy projects. Strong engineering fundamentals, communication, and problem‑solving skills are essential.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of design/consulting experience.
  • Experience developing design calculations, construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with occasional supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Registration (PE) or ability to obtain PE within 1 year.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software such as Revit, AutoCAD, CADWorx, Navis Works.
  • Power system modeling using SKM Power Tools, ETAP or similar.
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems, microgrids, & HV/MV substations.
  • Experience in projects exceeding 10 MW capacity, renewables (wind, solar, hydro, geothermal), energy storage, SCADA, automation, campus utility planning, cogeneration, thermal utility plants.
Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) OR ability to obtain PE within 1 year, preferred.
