About the Role
As a Hydrogeologist Engineering Intern at Jacobs in Jacksonville, Florida, you will support project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering groundwater supply projects on time and within budget. You will plan and execute field activities, including hydrogeologic evaluations, wellfield rehabilitation, geophysical logging, well and aquifer performance testing, groundwater sampling, and laboratory data analysis. You will also prepare technical reports documenting completed activities and results.
Responsibilities- Assist teams with field work and data collection
- Conduct hydrogeologic evaluations and wellfield rehabilitation assessments
- Perform geophysical logging and well/aquifer performance testing
- Analyze groundwater quality data sets and interpret results
- Document findings in technical reports
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field
- At least a rising Junior
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Willingness to perform field work
- 3.0 GPA or higher (preferred)
- Previous internship related to field of study (preferred)
- Strong communication skills across all levels of management
- Self‑driven time‑management and organizational skills
Eligible employees receive a 401(k) plan and legally mandated benefits. The base salary range for this position is $40,000 to $60,000 per year, paid hourly based on hours worked.
