Description
Provide design, engineering, and analysis support to other engineers and designers in the development and maintenance of orthopedic implants and instruments.
Department: Engineering, Extremities
Location: Gainesville, FL
Key Responsibilities- Primary:
- Apply engineering acumen to evaluate impact of revisions to technical standards on medical device compliance.
- Create impact assessments for revised technical standards.
- Lead and coordinate the assignment of work to cross‑functional team.
- Devise and implement process improvements.
- Provide monthly updates to executive leadership.
- Secondary:
- Assist the Engineering Test Lab in carrying out product development research and testing.
- Research and develop test methods for medical devices.
- Design and fabricate test fixtures.
- Perform testing.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering.
- Computer aided design software.
- Motivated to take initiative and work effectively in teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
