Electrical & Instrumentation Reliability Engineer
Join an innovative team that is dedicated to advancing the reliability of electrical and instrumentation systems. We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Reliability Engineer to enhance and maintain the performance of our critical systems. Your expertise will contribute to a safer, more efficient, and sustainable operation, aligning with our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and monitor the performance of electrical, instrumentation, and control system assets to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and sustain criticality rankings and maintenance plans based on FMEA/RCM methodologies for I&E equipment.
- Establish and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as MTBF, PM compliance, and work order history.
- Lead predictive maintenance initiatives, utilizing technologies such as infrared thermography, power quality analysis, and intelligent MCC monitoring.
- Enhance calibration programs; experience with Calibration Management Systems is advantageous.
- Offer advanced technical support for troubleshooting PLCs, DCS, and electrical distribution systems.
- Oversee commissioning and tuning of instrumentation and control systems.
- Approve modifications to instrument ranges and protective relay settings.
- Ensure new installations adhere to reliability, maintainability, and safety standards.
- Participate in engineering design reviews, including P&IDs and electrical one-lines.
- Provide input for outages, turnarounds, and capital projects with a focus on reliability.
- Lead root cause analyses for system failures and develop long-term preventive solutions.
- Collaborate with technicians and engineers to enhance workflow and system reliability.
- Coordinate specialized testing and diagnostics with vendors as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in industrial reliability, I&E maintenance engineering, or similar domains.
- Proficient in industrial power distribution, switch gear, transformers, protective relays, and control systems.
- Experience with RCM/FMEA methodologies and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems, preferably Oracle EAM.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Experience in maintenance planning and conducting RCA investigations.
- Able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
