concrete field operations specialist within the office of materials, structural materials/concrete materials.

this position will provide technical support to department’s precast, prestressed, and concrete materials program, serving as the concrete field operations specialist. The selected candidate will inspect component materials, completed products, and facilities for compliance with department specifications, and will review quality control plans, construction plans, and procedures to provide clear, timely technical solutions when project specifications or plans don't align with department policy.

This role also performs independent assurance evaluations in accordance with department procedures and the federal aid policy guide, analyzes material data to support contract and procedural compliance for the cementitious materials program, and facilitates timely notification of stakeholders regarding errors, failures, or negative trends. The candidate will provide materials-related technical support and training to customers as needed and will perform field and/or laboratory testing in accordance with applicable florida sampling and testing methods, aashto, and astm standards, documenting and reporting results in the appropriate database.
