Our mission is to preserve life and property through emergency medical services, fire suppression, risk reduction, public education, and community partnerships.
- Research, creation of reports, correspondence generation, and appointment scheduling for the Division Chief/Fire Marshal.
- Schedule and coordinate public education activities including station tours, car seat installation appointments, safety talks, and in‑person appearances.
- Assist the Public Education Officer in delivering public education at events, safety towns, and other events as determined by the Community Risk Reduction Officers and Fire Marshall.
- Support the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) with personnel files, scheduling of special events, and other related functions.
- Ensure office coverage during normal business hours and coordinate office and business communications.
- Assist with processing annual fire inspections and develop other reports as necessary; schedule and invoice the division’s Fire Watch details, overtime, fire‑watches, and other reimbursable processes.
- Invoicing and processing of annual fire inspections, re‑inspection fees, and liens.
- Act as liaison to the City Clerk’s Office, IT Department, and other departments as needed.
- All other duties as assigned by the Division Chief/Fire Marshal.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Two years of experience working in an administrative support position.
- An equivalent combination of training and related experience will be considered in lieu of education requirement.
