Overview
ONSITE - Gainesville FL
Collaborates with customers, Information Services, Vendors, peers in the informatics role, and other key stakeholders to develop and execute information technology plans including software applications and hardware related to clinical workflows. Interacts daily with staff to communicate and resolve information technology needs. Acts as advocate for staff in relation to clinical IT issues. Provides a key link between medical staff, nursing staff, other clinical users, senior administration, and Information Services.
Utilizes knowledge of clinical workflow to provide input into application development, implementation, training, and continuous support. This role provides information systems support to achieve the organization’s mission of excellent patient care.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
- Master’s degree preferred
- IT-related certifications preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience required
- Relevant experience may include one or a combination of the following:
- Healthcare experience
- EMR system experience (Epic preferred)
- Training and education development
- Project management
- Programming and/or coding
- Technical problem solving
- System implementation coordination
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience using software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams

- Employees in this position will operate vehicles for assigned business purposes as a non-frequent driver
