Position Summary

The TAS is a critical role in BMS’s customer model, driving adoption of BMS medicines for appropriate patients. The TAS delivers a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through scientific dialogue, builds strong credibility with healthcare providers, and collaborates across functions to meet business and compliance goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Promotion
    • Promotes approved indications of BMS products, achieving or exceeding sales targets while maintaining compliance.
    • Creates demand by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for product use.
    • Maintains deep scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
    • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
    • Uses CE^3 tools to derive insights, inform call plans, and provide leadership feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
    • Demonstrates scientific expertise and uses approved resources to present accurate information.
    • Conducts in‑office presentations and discusses product information consistent with label.
    • Organizes external speaker programs and manages logistics.
    • Stays current on emerging data for approved indications.
    • Engages real‑time medical support via Medical on Call for complex inquiries.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborates with field teams to ensure the best Cx for HCPs.
    • Shares relevant insights internally to improve customer service.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies governing conduct.
  • Field‑based: 100% of time spent with external customers.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately and convincingly to physicians.
  • Experienced in building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience in cardiovascular therapeutics.
  • Strong account‑management skills, superior selling competencies, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Effective cross‑functional teamwork and a can‑do attitude.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills demonstrated through performance.

Additional Information
  • Requires a company‑provided vehicle; candidate must meet qualified driver criteria.
Compensation Overview
  • Field – United States – US: $134,390 – $162,843.
  • Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available.
