Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Per Diem, PRN
Parklands Care Center
is seeking a compassionate and dedicated
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)to join our team on a per diem basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to residents in our subacute rehabilitation unit, helping them regain communication skills, improve swallowing function, and enhance their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment
:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities to identify areas of need. - Individualized Treatment Plans
:
Develop and implement customized treatment plans tailored to each resident's specific goals and challenges. - Therapeutic Interventions
:
Provide therapeutic interventions including speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive exercises to improve functional communication and overall quality of life. - Patient Education
:
Educate residents and their families about speech and swallowing disorders, treatment strategies, and techniques to promote effective communication and safe swallowing. - Collaboration
:
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to deliver comprehensive care for each patient. - Progress Monitoring
:
Regularly assess and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes. - Documentation
:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Licensure
:
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida. - Experience
:
Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply. - Skills
:
Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. A passion for patient care, rehabilitation, and teamwork.
