Full two‑week orientation, Monday‑Friday, 8am‑4:30pm; may be required to work a 16‑hour shift as needed.

North Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center (NFETC) is a maximum‑security, all‑male forensic mental health facility located in Gainesville, Florida, with a current capacity of 193 residents.

The average age of residents is early 30s. The goal is to get those committed as Incompetent to Proceed to Trial (≈78%) back to their courts for disposition and those committed as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (≈22%) to a less restrictive environment.

• Assist with all aspects of resident care as assigned by the nurse/shift supervisor, including activities of daily living, ambulation, mobility, and nutrition.
• Observe, identify, and report resident concerns or needs to the shift supervisor.
• Document information factually and objectively within an acceptable time frame as defined by facility policy.
• Provide safe and supportive observation and effectively monitor assigned residents.
• Complete assignments timely, completely, accurately and in a cooperative manner.
• Provide the necessary assistance when giving residents the following activities of daily living: oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, hair and nail care, shaving, toileting, eating and drinking, and mobility.
• Assist with monitoring and accountability of residents to enable medical personnel to accomplish health‑related tasks.
• Display professionalism throughout employment, including, but not limited to, arriving to work on time, maintaining an accurate timesheet, and maintaining professional appearance as defined by facility policy.
