Responsibilities

In this role the EEG Tech will perform the following job duties:

  • Neurodiagnostic procedures under the direction of the Director of Neurodiagnostics and Medical Directors.
  • Provide technical support for routine and specialized neurodiagnostic testing and assists with the instruction and training of students and junior staff as directed.
  • As competencies are achieved, perform advanced neurodiagnostic procedures, including but not limited to Neonatal EEG, Evoked Potentials (EP), Long-Term Monitoring (LTM), and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) studies, in accordance with departmental policies and scope of practice.

8:00am-5:00pm

Monday-Thursday

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Required

Qualification:

  • Associate's degree required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical healthcare experience required.
  • Must complete the ASET LTM
    100 course within (30) days of hire.
  • Must obtain ABRET registry (R EEG. T) within (2) years of hire.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be highly self-motivated.
  • Active BLS for Healthcare Providers Preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a CAAHEP-Accredited Associate s degree or certificate program in Neurodiagnostic Technology.
  • Currently enrolled in a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology Program.
  • Prior experience in a Neurodiagnostic, EEG, or Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) setting.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association)
