Serves in the capacity of a Cardiovascular Technician; assisting in patient care through procedures. Directly involved in assisting with Cath Lab, EP, and Vascular procedures and the development of protocols. Cross‑trains cath lab staff to other procedural areas to achieve a level of comfort in working with the new procedures and meet developed competencies.
Responsibilities- Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
- Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
- Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
- Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
- Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient
- A graduate of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required or a graduate of a degree‑granting program in a health science (includes, but not limited to, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing or paramedic) with a current certification or registration required.
- A current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required
- BLS & ACLS required
- Related healthcare experience required
