Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, complete family assessments, conduct case management activities, and serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team to determine eligibility during evaluations.
- Update IFSPs, coordinate services, make recommendations, and access community resources in natural environment settings for children referred to the Northeastern Early Steps Program under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines for best practice and billing under AHCA and the Early Steps State Office.
- Participate in developmental evaluations, consultations, direct services, and family assessments with the multidisciplinary team for intake, eligibility, progress monitoring, IFSP updates, and planning/providing intervention.
- Work with the IFSP team to ensure state and federal timelines for timely service delivery, transition, IFSP development/updates, and LEA/SEA notification.
- Recommend, coordinate, and make referrals to community services to meet identified outcomes on Individualized Family Support Plans.
- Maintain current, accurate client records (program plans, intervention notes, case notes, billing information) in a timely and accurate manner for payment.
- Participate in local and statewide meetings and trainings to ensure best practice and compliance; complete mandatory trainings/modules.
Expected Salary: $46,000 to $55,000 annually, depending on education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Early Childhood Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, or Sociology.
- Two years of appropriate experience with children born to five years old who have special needs.
