Role:
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education in home health settings to improve patient well-being, following a plan of care under supervision.
Responsibilities- Adhere to state laws and supervise treatment plans defined by a licensed Physical Therapist
- Instruct patients in exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training
- Monitor, document, and report patient responses and condition changes
- Educate patients, families, and healthcare team members on therapy activities
- Licensed or certified to practice physical therapy assistance in the state
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license, dependable vehicle or transportation
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations and perform physical tasks like lifting and transferring
- Availability for weekend rotations
Key Duties: Deliver patient-centered care, coordinate with healthcare team, maintain documentation, and ensure adherence to legal and safety standards.
