Research Coordinator

The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Coordinator to support ongoing clinical and health services research activities. This position plays a key role in coordinating study operations, engaging with participants and healthcare teams, and ensuring high-quality data collection and regulatory compliance. The role is well-suited for individuals interested in expanding their research experience in a collaborative academic medical environment.

This position will involve patient contact and requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and comfort interacting with diverse patient populations and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate day-to-day research activities across one or more studies.
  • Assist with IRB submissions, continuing reviews, and regulatory documentation.
  • Recruit, screen, and consent study participants in clinical settings.
  • Collect, manage, and maintain study data using approved research software and secure systems.
  • Support study team members with literature reviews, protocol development, and manuscript preparation.
  • Communicate effectively with investigators, clinical partners, and participants to ensure smooth study operations.
  • Maintain compliance with UF, state, and federal research policies.

Expected Salary: $23.00 - $24.00 hourly

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • At least one year of experience coordinating human subjects research in a research coordinator or similar role.
  • Experience with IRB submissions, participant recruitment, informed consent, scheduling, data collection, and study tracking.
  • Proficiency with REDCap, Qualtrics, and Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate effectively.

Important:
This is an in-person, non-student OPS position. Remote or hybrid work is not available. Students enrolled in graduate-level programs at UF are not eligible.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating multiple or complex human subjects research studies.
  • Experience working with healthcare providers, study participants, and patient communities.
  • Experience with EHR systems, simulated EHR environments, clinical decision support tools, or usability and user-centered design studies.
  • Experience with research databases, data quality monitoring, manuscript preparation, or publications.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion.
