Position Summary:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs all respiratory care duties under general supervision. This includes administering routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures, managing mechanical ventilation, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. RRTs are expected to work independently and collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and monitor respiratory therapy procedures for patients of all ages.
Set up, operate, and manage ventilators and related equipment.
Collect and record patient data and treatment outcomes accurately.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to optimize patient care.
Maintain compliance with all hospital and departmental policies.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of RRT experience (required).
Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care (AMA-approved program).
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required).
Active Florida RRT license (required).
Current BLS certification (required).
Compensation:
Pay range: $27-$37/hour (based on experience). Night shift differential: +$4.50/hour. Weekend differential:
None. Sign-on bonus: $15,000. Relocation:
Case-by-case basis.
