Coordinates the clinical research activities associated with the Brooks/PHHP Research Collaboration, including:
- Oversee the budget creation and allocation of multi-million-dollar grants.
- Facilitate the preparation, negotiation, and management of study contracts in coordination with Brooks team members and UF contracts & grants, PHHP's research administration core, and PHHP/Physical Therapy (PT) leadership and administrative staff.
- Coordinate record keeping for Brooks/PHHP Research Collaboration studies, as well as multi-center studies involving the Collaboration.
- Contribute to the development of research funding proposals including protocol development, assessment of feasibility, and negotiation of funding arrangements.
- Work with Principal Investigators to develop and analyze clinical research activities for research participants and contribute to methods and procedures as needed.
- Educate and mentor research team members and other coordinators.
- Participate in the promotion of Research Participant protections within Clinical Research areas.
- Provide administrative regulatory support for research projects that fall under the umbrella of the Brooks/PHHP Research Collaboration, including scheduling appointments and document preparation for local and federal regulatory approvals (i.e., IRB), and maintaining compliance with these regulations.
- Monitor and/or audit studies associated with the Brooks/PHHP Research Collaboration.
- Participate in the strategic planning for assigned areas and assist the Brooks/PHHP Collaboration Director with implementation.
- Assist as needed with planning and implementation of Brooks/PHHP Collaboration events, such as workshops, seminars, retreats, trainee luncheons, ensuring that all pertinent UF and State rules and regulations are adhered to (such as alcohol policies, maintenance requirements, etc.) as directed by the Brooks/PHHP Collaboration Director and/or Assistant Director of Administrative Services.
- Assist in recruiting and organizing speakers, and arrange travel and meeting itineraries for speakers.
- Serve as point of contact for all guests, including visiting faculty, alumni, representatives from industry, and international visitors.
- Act as point of contact for Brooks/PHHP Collaboration investigators, trainees, and clinicians.
- Assist in the preparation of applications and support materials for Brooks/PHHP Research Collaboration grants.
- Collect data to enable and assist in reporting Brooks/PHHP Research Collaboration activities/accomplishments, including assisting in the preparation of annual or ad hoc progress reports.
- Responsibilities may require the individual to be flexible to assist with events not held during traditional work hours and able to commute to Jacksonville as needed.
- Attend national/international meetings involving Brooks/PHHP Research Collaboration research and/or initiatives.
- Facilitate and attend Seminar series, Symposia, and Retreats.
- In conjunction with the Department and College Advancement team, formulate plans to fundraise additional funding via networking with private corporations on behalf of the Brooks/PHHP Research Collaboration.
