Position in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging

Clinical Position as Assistant/Associate Professor Academic Rank

Primary duties (60-70%) include daily clinical imaging in the Diagnostic Imaging Services, didactic teaching, clinical training of students, graduate students, and residents. Faculty share teaching and clinical responsibilities with other radiologists. Scholarly productivity is expected through publication of clinical or educational research studies. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Approximately 20,500 small animals/exotics and 1,000 large animals are imaged annually. The service uses Fuji Synapse RIS for scheduling and reporting, and Merge PACS or eUnity for image storage. The reading room houses 7 diagnostic imaging workstations with 2-4 high‑definition monitors per station, plus additional workstations in the Ultrasound suite and near MRI and the large animal radiographic quality control area.

Small animal imaging equipment includes 4 digital radiographic suites (3 with overhead strut system for cross‑table imaging) equipped with Canon DR plates, a suite in the Emergency Room with an overhead strut system, and a traditional suite with Sedecal DR and a portable Sedecal DR unit.

Large animal imaging includes 2 digital radiographic suites with Canon DR plates, one wireless.

Advanced imaging includes a Toshiba Titan 1.5T 16‑channel MR (upgraded to Canon Vantage Orian), a Toshiba Prime 160‑slice CT, an MiE Scintron IV nuclear scintigraphy unit, and a catheterization laboratory with Toshiba Infinix‑i C‑arm, upgraded to Philips Azurion 7 and a Proxi N90 fluoroscopy unit.

Applicants must have a DVM or equivalent degree.

Final candidates will be required to provide an official transcript to the hiring department upon hire. Degrees earned outside the United States must be evaluated by an approved credentialing service provider (NACES).
