Jupiter Nursing and Healthcare Center is looking for a talented and hard-working Admissions Director to join our ever-growing team.

• Must be able to clinically review and evaluate medical documents to determine admission
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility in Admissions Department role is required
• Be personable with residents, families, and staff in a professional and cooperative manner
• Good organizational, planning and marketing skills
• Knowledge of hospital discharge planning and policies as it relates to the long term care population

• Receive and clinically review all referrals regarding prospective residents from all referral sources including hospitals, home, alfs, etc within 20 minutes
• Checks insurance benefits and sends for authorizations for new admissions in a timely manner
• Inform necessary departments of the arrival of new residents and coordinate the admission process as outlined in the facility policy.
• Oversees and works with the marketer and liaisons to create ways to increase census and quality mix
• Responsible for maintaining census
• Contacts all families/ residents prior to admissions to ensure needs will be met
• Ensures all patient information is inputted into EMR prior to arrival
• Sends Am/ end of day Census
