Human Resources Generalist III - Department of Psychiatry

Overview

The Department of Psychiatry is hiring a Human Resources Generalist III to lead HR operations and strategic workforce support for approximately 270 employees. The role manages a team of three HR staff and oversees recruitment, employee relations, compliance, payroll, and policy development to ensure effective faculty and staff workforce administration.

• Lead full scope of HR operations and strategic workforce support for the Department of Psychiatry.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and credentialing across multiple employee classifications including faculty and trainees.
• Supervise a team of three HR staff members.
• Oversee workforce administration including leave management, benefits, compliance training, and payroll operations.
• Develop and implement HR policies and standard operating procedures to improve processes and ensure compliance.
• Provide strategic HR leadership aligning with College of Medicine's objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to departmental leadership on workforce policies and compliance.

• Requires a bachelors degree and two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred skills include knowledge of HR processes, recruiting and payroll software, and experience with employee self-service systems.

Salary range: $74,000 - $80,000, commensurate with education and experience.
