This position provides comprehensive human resources support for multiple academic departments by coordinating a wide range of personnel, payroll, and employment activities. Responsibilities include processing personnel transactions through University systems, preparing electronic personnel actions and Letters of Appointment for Graduate Assistants, Fellows, OPS employees, and Student Assistants, coordinating employee separations, maintaining accurate personnel records, and supporting biweekly payroll and time administration.
The role also assists with employment-related requests, including background screenings, employment verification, alternate work location agreements, UFID requests, and other HR processes while ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures.
The position serves as a key resource for departments by supporting Graduate Assistant appointments and evaluations, communicating critical deadlines, monitoring compliance requirements, and providing guidance on HR and payroll processes. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with faculty, staff, and campus partners. The incumbent also contributes to team success by providing cross-functional support, participating in process improvement initiatives, and fostering positive relationships across the College and University.

Commensurate with Education and Experience up to $26.44 per hour
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
- University of Florida Human Resources policies and procedures
- People Soft Personnel Administration and Payroll
- MyUFL Human Resources transactions
- ePAF processing
- Graduate Assistant, Student Assistant, and OPS employment
- Foreign national hiring processes
- Payroll and Time & Labor administration
- Microsoft Word and Excel
