Human Resources Generalist II

The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering is hiring a Human Resources Generalist II. The role involves managing the full employee lifecycle for Graduate Assistants, OPS employees, and Student Assistants, overseeing HR actions such as recruitments and payroll administration, and serving as a trusted advisor to faculty and staff while ensuring compliance with university policies.

• Provides HR support for Graduate Assistants, OPS employees, and Student Assistants.
• Coordinates appointments, onboarding, evaluations, and employment transactions.
• Manages payroll review, time reporting, FMLA, and leave of absence coordination.
  
  Acts as a backup to the HR Team Lead and mentors HR staff.
• Requires knowledge of University of Florida personnel and payroll policies.
• Preferred experience with People Soft Personnel Administration, Payroll modules, ePAF processing, Time and Labor administration, and Workday platform.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Expected salary up to $70,000 based on education and experience.
• Supports faculty, staff, graduate assistants, student employees, and OPS workforce in a higher education environment.
