Information Technology Operations Specialist - Gainesville, FL (Property Appraiser's Office)
Join a mission-driven public agency where technology helps power public service. The IT Operations Specialist supports daily IT systems, helps keep our infrastructure running smoothly, and ensures our staff has the tools they need to serve the community efficiently.
This is a full-time, on-site position in Gainesville, FL — no remote or hybrid work is available.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to staff across multiple departments
- Maintain and troubleshoot IT systems, hardware, and software
- Manage user accounts and device configurations in Microsoft 365 + Intune
- Assist with patching, backups, and system updates
- Monitor help desk tickets and ensure timely resolution
- Maintain IT documentation and asset inventory
- Support cybersecurity, network administration, and compliance efforts
- Collaborate with IT leadership on projects and improvements
- Perform additional duties that support operational reliability
- 1–3 years of IT operations or technical support experience
- Knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field
- Experience with Azure or cloud environments
- Certifications:
CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 (or similar) - Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and IT service management (ITIL)
