Overview
About The Role We are a growing organization seeking a hands-on Network Administrator to take full ownership of our IT and network infrastructure. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving, and building secure, scalable systems that support both in-office and remote employees. You will serve as the primary IT authority, managing cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, end-user systems, and vendor relationships while helping shape the company’s technology as it grows.
Responsibilities- Own and manage the full network and IT environment (on-prem, cloud, and hybrid)
- Select, configure, and maintain office networking equipment (firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi)
- Manage ISPs and low-voltage wiring vendors
- Support secure plug-and-play onboarding for remote, hybrid, and in-office employees
- Recommend and manage laptops, monitors, and multi-function printers
- Administer Microsoft 365 Business Premium, including:
- Tenant and licensing setup
- Identity and security via Entra
- Exchange Online and email configuration
- Microsoft Defender for Business (baseline)
- Intune endpoint management (core setup)
- Handle user onboarding, validation, and documentation
- Manage infrastructure in AWS
- Lead projects such as migrating the company website to AWS
- Managing AWS accounts, permissions, and security foundations
- Design scalable systems to support company growth
- Configure and manage Amazon Connect, including:
- Account and telephony foundation setup
- Inbound/outbound phone numbers
- Agent setup, queues, and call routing
- Outbound dialing and conference room phone configuration
- Call recording, monitoring, and compliance baselines
- Test, validate, and support go-live
- Implement and maintain security best practices:
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Endpoint protection
- Firewalls, VPNs, and secure remote access
- Monitor and respond to security incidents
- Document IT policies, procedures, and systems
- Lead vendor evaluation, selection, and negotiations
- Manage hardware and software life cycles and renewals
- Recommend and implement new tools and technologies
- 3-5 years of experience in Network or Systems Administration
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 Business Premium
- Hands-on experience with AWS
- Experience supporting remote and hybrid users
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of IT operations
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience as a sole or lead IT resource
- Familiarity with Amazon Connect or cloud-based phone systems
- Experience in a small or growing organization
- High autonomy and ownership
