Required Qualifications:

Must have an AA degree or high school diploma and two years work experience.

Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience, but does not negate the minimum degree requirement(s).

  • Knowledge of web programming languages such as HTML and CSS

UF Information Technology (UFIT) enables teaching, learning, research, and service on campus and across the region with state‑of‑the‑art enterprise IT systems, including SEC and SUS universities, and the opportunity to teach using Hi Per Gator .

Web Technicians Responsibilities

Web Technicians assist Education Training Specialists and Web Services in the Center for Instructional Technology and Training (CITT) to create accessible, visually engaging, and user‑friendly digital content. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to learn and apply web accessibility tools—such as Site improve to review. Uses web tools to identify accessibility issues across UF websites. Knowledge of HTML & CSS preferred.

In-office position; work location: the Hub, room 221.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
  • Review web content and use accessibility tools to ensure ADA/WCAG compliance
  • Edit websites in web content management system using HTML and CSS
  • Ability to deliver quality customer service
