Job Description:
UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an intermediate-level Learning Tools Developer to join Academic Technology, a unit within UFIT.
UF Information Technology (UFIT) enables teaching, learning, research, and service on campus and across the region with state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems, including SEC and SUS universities, and the opportunity to teach using Hi Per Gator .
This Learning Tools Developer will join our collaborative team in Academic Technology within UF Information Technology. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing functional software solutions that enhance teaching and learning experiences, with a special focus on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI), Navi Gator AI Suite (UF AI platform), and other emerging technologies to support student success.
Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
* Work alongside faculty and other stakeholders to create innovative educational technology solutions. Utilize AI and emerging technologies to foster adaptive learning environments and personalized learning experiences. Ensure all applications adhere to industry standards and frameworks.
* Engage with educators to understand their needs and translate these into effective software solutions. Stay abreast of the latest trends in educational technology and advocate for new initiatives.
* Work closely with other developers, UX/UI designers, infrastructure and operations, and other UFIT teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and effective educational tools that meets industry standards.
