Learning Systems Engineer

The University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning is hiring a Learning Systems Engineer. The role involves configuring, integrating, and optimizing the learning management system and related tools, managing system integrations, developing automations, and ensuring data privacy and security standards are maintained to support reporting, analytics, and operational stability.

• Manage performance, reliability, and integration of multiple learning systems, including LMS and related tools.
• Develop automation scripts and services to streamline course operations, enrollment, and user management.
• Configure and maintain data exports, reporting mechanisms, and support learning analytics integrations.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and responsible data use standards.
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting, and workflows.
• Use scripting and automation tools such as Python, JavaScript, SQL, and Power Automate.
• Preferred experience includes LMS administration (D2L Brightspace), LMS APIs, and integration with SIS, CRM, or enterprise systems.
• Required qualifications:
  
  Bachelor’s degree with 2 years relevant experience or high school diploma with 6 years; preferred 5+ years in systems administration or related technology support.
• Supports an education-focused organization improving teaching and learning through educational technologies.
• Salary range is $82,000 to $95,000; position is time limited and soft funded.
