Job Description:

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an entry-level Help Desk Student Assistant to join the Computing Help Desk team under Academic Technology, a unit within UFIT. This position has a $15 per hour starting rate of pay. This position is centrally located on UF's campus at the HUB, 1765 Stadium Road, and provides assistance via phone, email, live chat, and walk-in consulting.

UF Information Technology (UFIT) enables teaching, learning, research, and service on campus and across the region with state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems, including SEC and SUS universities, and the opportunity to teach using Hi Per Gator .

Our student assistants are responsible for delivering excellent client service for the UF community of faculty, staff, and students. Ideal candidates have good communication skills, are eager to learn, and are customer-service oriented.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:

  • Assisting clients with Gatorlink account issues such as account creation, password resets, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Assisting with email, wireless, and VPN support.
  • Helping triage issues to better assist faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
