Overview
UF Information Technology (UFIT) is hiring an Infrastructure Platform Engineer to join the Artificial Intelligence & Platform Engineering team within the Infrastructure and Communication Technology unit. The role involves managing AI capabilities and enterprise platform deployments to ensure high availability and reliability of campus services while providing consulting services for AI integration.
Responsibilities- Manage and improve services under the Navi Gator AI suite.
- Consult with campus constituents to integrate AI capabilities into existing processes.
- Deploy and manage enterprise platforms to enhance user experience.
- Required knowledge of virtual machines, Kubernetes, container workloads, and hybrid environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Advanced skills in Linux and Windows system administration.
- Expertise in configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and orchestration tools (Terraform).
- Proficiency in Python, Golang, REST API scripting, and version control systems (Git Lab, Git Hub).
- Experience building automation pipelines using Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins.
- Bachelor's degree with four years of relevant experience or equivalent experience; salary around $98,000 based on qualifications.
