Job Overview

Provide timely, quality maintenance for Fed Ex vehicle fleet and ground support equipment, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and documentation.

High school diploma or GED. Vocational training from an accredited automotive‑related school preferred. ASE Master certification preferred.

Four (4) years of fleet, automotive, or truck vehicle maintenance experience, including advanced technical repair. Experience with welding and basic DC electrical troubleshooting preferred.

Knowledge of the use and operation of all equipment and testing equipment, gauges and tools associated with the troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic, gasoline, diesel, electric, and hybrid motorized equipment.
Proficient skills in operating a personal computer.
Demonstration of teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Possession of a basic set of automotive hand tools including metric sizes.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and maneuver any weight above 50 pounds with assistance on a regular basis.
Must be able to work without supervision for extended time periods.
Must be able to work in noisy, non‑air‑conditioned/heated work areas.
Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Must be willing to work any shift.
Must possess a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position.

Experience with welding and basic DC electrical troubleshooting. Advanced technical repair experience. Proficiency with personal computer and automotive hand tools.

Pay: $33.00 - $43.41 per hour.
