Job Description:
The University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications is seeking a Media Services / Production Manager to lead professional multimedia production operations and revenue-generating client services across the Division of Media Properties.
This manager will oversee studios, staff, and workflows, while cultivating external client relationships to grow paid‑production revenue and support the university’s public‑service mission.
Key Responsibilities- Studio & Production Operations – Direct daily TV, radio, digital, and social output; schedule studio use; supervise staff and student participants; maintain technical and editorial excellence.
- Client & Revenue Management – Serve as primary contact for external video‑production clients; lead projects from concept to delivery; expand services (live interviews, podcasts, etc.) and grow revenue.
- Promotional & Marketing Production – Produce short‑ and long‑form promotional content in partnership with marketing, underwriting, and station leadership.
- Live Events & Special Productions – Oversee broadcast‑quality production of university events (commencements, public programs) and coordinate with campus partners.
- Leadership & Budget Oversight – Collaborate with Media Properties leadership on strategy; manage departmental budget and support special projects.
This position typically works Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with flexibility required to support live broadcasts, special events, breaking news, and emergency operations. The position is designated as essential and may be required to work during severe weather or emergency situations.

Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred- Supervisory experience.
- 2+years in broadcast news, video production, or studio operations.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere and Ross studio systems.
- Experience with live studio production, breaking news or weather coverage.
- Strong writing skills for news and promotional content.
